Captain Martin H. Tapay, LOSA/Flight Operations/Quality Assurance

In 2014 Captain Tapay completed a 28-year career with the Hewlett-Packard Aviation Department, where he served as a Gulfstream V International Captain and Chief Safety Officer.

 

In addition to his duties as a Gulfstream Captain and Safety Officer, Martin was responsible for the development and implementation of HP’s FOQA program, international and aircraft specific SOPs, new hire pilot SOE for international operations and pilot supervision and evaluations.

 

Martin completed his aviation SMS training at the University of Southern California-Viterbi School of Safety and Security.  Martin holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Engineering from Santa Clara and Stanford Universities. Martin continues to serve the corporate aviation community as an SCG Safety Consultant and through domestic and international Gulfstream contract pilot services.
